Eryn Young had 12 digs and
three aces. Lara Bangs added nine digs for the Vaqueros, who won their seventh straight match to improve to
14-7 overall and 8-1 in conference. It was the fifth sweep in the last seven matches for the Vaqueros, who are 21-2 in sets during the win streak.
SBCC and L.A. Pierce are tied for first with three matches remaining.
“Hancock is a scrappy team but we were way more physical,” said assistant coach Lisa Gera. “Maddie Waddell had some good service runs and played great D in the back. She showed a lot of tenacity.”
The Vaqueros will host Moorpark on Friday at 6 p.m.
